Home Staging Gold Coast

Question: How hard and how long will it take to learn windsurfing by myself?
I'm an intermediate surfer who's been surfing for just about a year (but nearly everyday). I'm 25, 177cm and 75kg, surf on a 5'10 hybrid and a 6'4 standard shortboard. I'm also keen on 3-4 meter outside waves and feel like home every time I paddle out in the sea. I've been on the Gold Coast for one year and haven't seen any windsurfing school. There're many kitesurfers here on windy days (>30 knots) but it doesn't look like my thing.
I have two goals: to be able to sail along the coast when it's really windy, and to charge huge waves. So, do you recommend buying windsurfing gears and starting to learn by myself? If so, what should I get for the early stage?
I also learned to surf by myself and on a shortboard. I surf at least three hours each session.
Answer: You have to get lessons for it. It is really really really hard to learn by yourself and even if you do theres always a chance you wont do something right. Its not as easy as it looks and it takes lots of time to master for 90% of the people that do/did it.
