Question: Does anyone know how to get low cost Assisted Living/Congregate Housing in Orange County, CA?
I've heard that HUD will help low-income senior citizens obtain low-cost assisted living/Congregate Housing .
I've also heard there is a place in Huntington Beach on Florida Street that accepts HUD. I've tried to find info about this on line, but get the run around--referral services to really expensive places. My relative lives in HUD housing already, but is now almost not able to cook and clean. She is too well for a nursing home. She is in the in between stage. Help! Any help will be appreciated.
Answer: Call the Orange County Housing Authority the number is in the phone book.
Also Garden Grove, Housing will be taking applications shortly call there also.
Try calling 211 and tell them what help you need they should be able to give you names and numbers that should help.
