Where to find Home Staging training?

Home Staging training has become a major industry in a short amount of time. It used to take no more than a realtor to sell your home, but since the US housing market started to slump in the early 2000's, a new job in selling most homes has become almost as common. 

Home Staging is a phenomenon. It's now firmly estimated that selling a home without staging it takes 10 times longer than homes that don't get staged. The only reason that this number can't yet be proven as a fact is because there are many people who haven't been trained properly on how to stage a home that are skewing those numbers.

The International Association of Home Staging Professionals is the only accreditation for those seeking a career Home Staging training. Run by Barb Schwartz, the inventor of Home Staging, the IAHSP is the only place on Earth to get a Home Staging Education that is certified, and really makes homes sell faster.

Most non-real-estate professionals think Home Staging is nothing more than decorating a home to look pretty while it's being shown. That's really not a good way to explain the process at all, in fact. 

Home Staging is an incredible marketing necessity that takes all of the personalization out of a house before it goes to market, so that a prospective buyer doesn't see the faintest sign of anyone else living there before. It's best described as turning your home into a model home… Which means taking all of your furniture out, and putting in the least personal furniture available instead.
