Question: I think I'm beginning to be anorexic?
Ok beginning stages I've been told.. It wasn't intentional and I thought I was just " cutting back" see when I was younger I was a bit fat but not obese but I was chunky so I started "cutting down" in 6th grade. People say I've been skinnier and such but I've realized i wouldn't eat at all unless my stomach growls. Sometimes I'd let myself starve knowing im losing weight. I probably eat 1,400 or less calories a day and i must admit ghey arent all that healthy. At school ALWAYS get AZ sweet tea and munchies.
PLUS, does starving cause constipation? Sorry this q is soo gross.. I'll delete it after I CHOOSE BA :/
Answer: If there's ANYTHING in you that feels like what you're doing is ED-like or shows the signs of an ED (ED= eating disorder, if you didn't know..), be sure to start consciously making changes to your diet RIGHT AWAY. Eat when you're hungry and don't starve yourself. You might not even know that you have an eating disorder already (although you've already started to suspect yourself of having one), but if you do, it's best to fix things now before things get worse. You're still young and your body's still developing, from what I can tell in your description.. Don't mess with you body by cutting calories that it needs to grow and to be healthy and FUNCTION. (If you don't consume enough calories, your body seriously starts to eat away at itself. Not just fat, but internal organs, too! I'm not making this up-- I'm serious!)
So good job for asking this question now and for admitting that you might have a problem.. That takes some serious guts, and a big kudos to you! I seriously wish that more people were like you and cared enough about themselves (and not just what they looked like) that they wouldn't sacrifice everything to be skinny. If you want to start looking more fit and healthy, I'd suggest eating healthier and maybe doing more exercise even if it means walking or just dancing around your room. Or choosing to go out with friends instead of staying at home all the time. Maybe take some zumba classes.. Maybe take up swimming or running? Those options are so much more fun and better for you than cutting calories and being unhealthy and miserable with an ED. They're options people would take if they actually wanted to live their lives, ya know?
Lastly.. Not sure if starving causes constipation, just because you're hardly eating anything, so I don't know what you'd be pooping out or what could be keeping you from pooping things out. I kinda feel like the constipation might have to do with some unhealthy things you might be eating, though. I know that MY stomach has a hard time dealing with processed foods.
