Home Staging Vancouver Jobs

Question: Home Inspection as a Profession?
HiGuy,
I live in Vancouver, B.C, Canada. I am a chemical engineer by proffession and its been only a year since Ive been involved with working since I grad from uni in 2006. I do not enjoy the engineering field so much at this stage. Also the money in the field does not seem to be appealing. I was thinking of doing something on the side perhaps thinking of home inspection.
Can someone out there in vancouver who has experience in this field let me nkow about opportunities and the future job market for home inspectors. Also what are the courses and licencing if any that is required before one can go about inspecting homes.
thanks
Answer: I am in Ohio and I can tell you that home inspections will become mandatory everywhere at some point. Their is great opportunity but the liability insurance is fairly expensive.

Home Staging Cost

Question: Anyone know the national average cost to build a home per square foot.?
I am in the very early stages, just looking at plans and I would like an idea of what kind of budget I need to be working with.
Answer: Don't worry about national averages. Find out what your local costs will be. Different regions have different costs. Climate, land values, and local labor rates all affect the cost of building a house. Colder climates have codes that require the house not only be insulated from winter cold, but be able to bear the weight of a load of snow on the roof. Urban areas usually have higher land values and higher labor costs. Check out a Realtor or lumber yard for some good local numbers.
