Question: Should a woman work or should a man keep her?
I earn a really excellent salary and so much so that my wife does not have to work at all, but I'm starting to think it would be better if she did.'m starting to get to the stage now where I feel I'm nothing more than a bank machine for my wife who loves spending money on things she does not need such as handbags, shoes and other things like that which she'll never wear. I must admit that she keeps our home lovely and always has always looked after me and made me feel loved, she always has my dinner ready for when I come in from work too. Would it be wrong of me to suggest to her that she should look for work? I've mentioned it before and she said that "her place was in the home and to look after the man she loved"

Answer: You might gently suggest that you DO wish for her to be at home as well ... so maybe a nice little part time job would really help out to pay for such things as holidays away, gas for the car (now that prices have risen) etc. You could cut a little deal whereby she gets the part time job and you promise to take her out to dinner once a week. 
I'm 'kept' though I'm not too crazy about the saying - but if I see that we have to start cutting corners or struggling - I'm so back to work it's not funny. I'm also not a spender.
