Question: Does anyone know of a good support group for caretakers of family enrolled in Hospice in the Portland area?
Hello, I am home hospicing my mother, she has stage 4 lung cancer and I would like to find a local support group in my current area where I can meet others dealing with the same issue. Thank you in advance!
Answer: Ask the hospice social worker, they usually would know if there was a support group available in the local area.
If you cannot find one than you might consider Cancer Care which offers private support groups online:

If you currently do not have a support system in place than you really need to establish one. It is extremely difficult to go through this alone or without substantial help.
I'm not sure exactly where Portland would be since there are more than one city by that name and in different states. There may be other services available for your state.
