Color Schemes
There are different color schemes. Some of the color schemes are discussed here such as analogous color schemes, complimentary color schemes, monochromatic color schemes, and triadic color schemes.
Analogous color schemes
What are analogous color schemes?
Analogous color schemes are color schemes using adjacent colors. For example, blue, blue-green, and green. Analogous color schemes in cool colors are very relaxing. Warm analogous color schemes or analogous color schemes are energized.
Complimentary color schemes
What are complimentary color schemes?
A complimentary color scheme is a color scheme using two colors opposite one another on the Color Wheel. For example, using red and green. When these colors are used together, they make each other appear brighter and more intense. These are complimentary color schemes.
Monochromatic color schemes
What are monochromatic color schemes?
Monochromatic color schemes are color schemes using a single color and a neutral color. An example of a monochromatic color scheme is using the colors red and white. Monochromatic rooms are rooms that are painted and decorated using just one color and a neutral color. Monochromatic rooms need texture and pattern to make them visually interesting.
Triadic color schemes
What are triadic color schemes?
A triadic color scheme is a color scheme using three colors. Each color in triadic color schemes are evenly spaced from the other colors on the Color Wheel. An example of a triadic color scheme is using red, yellow, and blue. Triadic color schemes often give the feeling of a happy space.
