Question: Getting over an old lover what do I do!?
Me and this boy were in love we have known each other for nine years basically all the important stages of life we have been through together and I moved away ( he is in Utah I am in Kentucky now) with my family we had a summer fling told each other we loved each other and then when I came home it lasted a year then he started dating others which I can completely understand I wouldn't make him wait like that but now it's six months until I come back and he is dating this little girl who he thinks he wants to marry in a few years (she's a sophomore and we are seniors) I just want to stop thinking about him I make myself miserable when I am happy and it's growing old does anyone have any advice for me?
Answer: Avoid places and things you used to do solely with your ex. You don't have to deprive yourself of ever seeing another movie or anything, but stay away from your old haunts..hang out with your friends and family--people who love you already and can help you build yourself back up after your breakup. Once you're feeling good again, that's the time to get back out there in the dating world.
