Question: i want to import movie props into australia that resemble dangerous goods how can i do this legally.?
Hi I've decided to do a series of video that involve the use of 2 blank firing guns and a samurai sword - examples may be found on this site http://www.stage-props-blank-guns.com/stage_movie_props/home.php?cat=166&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=2 . Where and how can I start research on insuring the gun isnt stopped over by customs and an nasty incident doesnt occur such as the boys in blue having a few questions for me.
Answer: Most of these props have serial numbers no? What you would want to do is contact the customs department as well as the ATF and inform them of what you are doing and the serial numbers on the props. This way should be able to get them to Australia with limited trouble.
