Answer: As far as I know, there are no "developmental stages" in adolescence, save perhaps for puberty and adolescence proper. It is hard to define the actual development as it is as personal as the individual him/herself.
Puberty is the precursor of adolescence and typically, but not always, happens from age 9-10 to 12. At this stage, the body is starting to develop what is called "secondary sexual characteristics" (what will ultimately differentiate a man from a woman physically). Also, sexuality as typical of adulthood begins to develop as well. In other words, people at this age start to find it desirable to engage in romantic/ sexual relationships with peers. In girls, it is generally the onset of menarche (first menstruation).
Adolescence is a stage of rapid growth, both physically and mentally. It typically happens, but not always, around 13 - 19 years of age, where the body adapts further to reproduction and becomes more adult-like. This is one of the most important stages for the development of self-identity.
For more info, you can search books about "human development" (often physical development) and "developmental psychology" (how the mind develops, as in self-identity, intimacy, self-esteem, cognition, etc.)
