Question: Did your views on abortion change after having a child yourself?
Myself I was very pro-choice before I had children.
But after having a child myself and seeing the different stages of development (I saw my son's tiny little beating heart on a scan at just 7 and half weeks and the outline of his little face at just 13 weeks!) I became much more anti-abortion. I think having your own child brings it home to you a lot more.
I think of that teensy little jelly bean I saw at 7 weeks with his tiny little heart ticking away (a stage when many abortions are carried out) and then look at my beautiful 8 month old bundle of mischief and I marvel that one became the other!
I woud not condemn someone having an abortion because they were raped or for medical reasons.
Answer: Nope. It should be a woman's choice to choose. If you cannot properly care for a child and know this, why bring a child into a situation in which they cannot be properly cared for. Every woman who has had a abortion has her reason and should not be condemned for it. On the other side many women have their babies and make do. But how you live your life or how and why you bring offspring into this world, or don't, should be your personal choice, not that of the government.
